Whether you live inside or outside of the United States, you most likely would love to visit New York City. The Big Apple just happens to be the largest city, as far as population goes, in the United States. It has been considered the gateway for immigrants, since it is filled with many business(like EZ Bed Bug Exterminator NYC) and educational opportunities for everyone.
There are several different parks that you can visit and it won’t cost you a dime. Perhaps, the most notable park is Flushing Meadows. This park contains the Unisphere, which is basically a 140-foot steel globe. This is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city and should not be passed up. Astoria Park is also another park that draws a lot of attention. This park is home to the largest pool in New York City. It also has basketball courts, tennis courts, playgrounds, and several different trails that you can hike.
New York is surrounded by water and you know what this means, beaches. Queens contains several beaches that offer a variety of different activities. For instance, the water taxi beach has tons of beautiful picnic spots as well as a DJ at the bar, during the night hours. Rockaway Beach is also another popular attraction that draws lots of attention. However, this beach is probably more popular to the local hand ballers, because there are several different handball courts available to players. Rockaway Beach is also very popular amongst many surfers due to all the waves that it offers. Jacob Riles Beach is not as popular as the other two mentioned above, but this might be just the thing that you want if you are looking for a quiet time with your family.
Food And Drinks
Queens has a lot to offer when it comes to food and drinks, because of all of the different cultures within the area. On top of this, Queens is home to one of the oldest beer gardens in New York. The Astoria neighborhood is a great choice, if you are looking for a variety of different culinary treats. The Greek restaurant Taverna Kyclades was named one of the best restaurants in the city in 2009. Be sure to check it out during your visit.
